The National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman of the Daffiama Bussie Issa (DBI) constituency in the Upper West Region, Mr. Puolabong Bayiila Richard affectionately called ‘Chairman Water’ has been shot dead by unknown assailants.
The gruesome act occurred around Sagu, a village in the Wa municipality.
Reports indicate that the chairman was allegedly attacked by the unknown assailant’s while he was returning from a funeral in his constituency.
The unknown assailants attacked him and shot him dead in his car.
His body has been deposited at the Wa regional hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
