Motivate staff to increase productivity – Minister urges employers


Minister for Employment, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, has urged employers to consider staff motivation as a means of increasing productivity.

The Minister, however, charged workers to also go the extra mile so as to attract motivation from employers.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Minister for Employment, Ignatius Baffour Awuah explained that Labour motivation is a chicken and egg situation which requires the involvement of both employees and employers.

According to him, staff who are well motivated will go any length to keep the office in shape as well as keep clients and customers happy.

He mentioned that issues of employment are a major concern to NPP government hence the facilitation of 1,096,404 jobs in both the public and private sectors of the economy.

According to Ignatius Baffour Awuah, the figure captures jobs created in the formal sector and that the jobs offered in the informal sectors are yet to be accounted for.
