Moesha apologises to 'African sisters' over CNN gaffe

Socialite and model, Moesha Babiinoti Boduong, has apologized to Ghanaian  and  African women in general  for comments she made in an interview with CNN’s Christine Amanpour.

Moesha Boudong, in an interview told CNN that the economy in Ghana is such that young girls are forced to date and depend on men in order to make ends meet.

She stated that the economy is such that ladies in Ghana need “shields” to take care of them because most ladies do not make enough money as a woman here.

This statement did not go down well with Ghanaians as most ladies vented their anger on social media.

Moesha, however, in an Instagram post on Friday 13th April apologized and asked for forgiveness from all African women.

She added that it was not her intention to offend any hardworking woman.

She posted :

“Dear gh, this is Moesha. I have been humbled by all that is going on and I have learnt a lot in the past few days since the CNN video came out. I have had a lot of time to think and reflect and I apologize to all, especially my African sisters. I pray you find it in your hearts to forgive me . It was definitely not my intention to offend any of you. I respect all the hard working women of our beloved country and accept that some of my utterances were not a reflection of what happens in our homes. God works in mysterious ways and everything happens because he says so.

Thanks for the love, pieces of advice and criticisms. God bless us all. The full version of the interview will be out this weekend and I hope you can appreciate what I said in its entirety. Thank you. God bless you all".
