Ghana to receive first flight from Ajax, Netherlands after reopening

Ghana is expected to receive its first flight from Ajax, Netherlands.

The KLM flight according to authorities at the Kotoka International Airport is expected to land in Ghana at 2:25 pm.


Reporting from the Kotoka International Airport this morning on the Atinka Morning Drive, Atinka Media Villages’ reporter, Ebenezer Madugu,reported that, as at 8:00am, only one passenger had arrived at the Airport en route to Canada.

He said, the said traveler had this flight canceled for an unknown reasons.

President Akufo -Addo on Sunday in his 16th COVID-19 update address announced the re-opening of the Kotoka International Airport to international passenger traffic, after five months of closure.

The airport was closed to international passenger traffic a as part of restrictions to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Our reporter added that, Tap Airlines from Lisbon is the second Flight to touch Ghana’s airport at exactly 2:35pm.

He added the third and final Chartered flight from London will get to Ghana at exactly 2:50pm.
