The Ministry of Energy has denied that it has awarded a sole-sourced contract worth GHC100,260,000 to Imperial Limited.
The details of the alleged contract published on the website of Public Procurement Authority, have gone viral on social media.
However, the ministry has denied the allegation saying, it has never awarded a sole-sourced contract since the government assumed office in 2017.

It has come to our notice that the Public Procurement Authority website is erroneously reporting that a sole-sourced contract was awarded Imperial Limited by the Ministry of Energy.
We wish to state for the record that the Ministry of Energy has not awarded any sole-sourced contract since this government came to power. This is an unfortunate error that we have brought to the attention of the PPA and we call on them to act expeditiously to correct the error on their website.
