The Chamber Of Petroleum Consumers-Ghana (COPEC), has become the first entity to petition the Office of the Special Prosecutor to investigate a corruption related case.
The convener of the group, Duncan Amoah, told the press at Tema Monday that, his outfit had petitioned the new anti-graft state agency to investigate the alleged 1.8 million barrel scandal at the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST).
According to him, the investigation will prevent the issue from being swept under the carpet like previous scandals.
Editor of the New Crusading Guide, Kwaku Baako, advised the group to present their findings to the OSP in order to save the general public from polluted debate.
He gave the advice on Joy FM’s news analysis programme, News File on Saturday.
