Anyidoho cautioned on 'fear and alarm and treason felony’ –Police 

 

The Police Administration has explained that Koku Anyidoho was arrested because he made statements likely to cause fear and alarm to the public and also endeavoured   to carry out by unlawful means an enterprise which usurps the executive power of Ghana.

Koku Anyidoho was picked up by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Tuesday for making  alleged treasonable comments.

Koku Anyidoho, has warned President Akufo – Addo that, he will end up like his father, who was overthrown together with Dr. KA Busia in 1972.

Speaking on Accra based Happy FM  Monday, the controversial politician said history had an interesting way of repeating itself and that President Akufo -Addo will end up like his dad who was forced out of government via coup d'état in 1972

In a statement, the police said Anyidoho has since been cautioned on offenses related to causing fear and alarm and treason felony.

It said the suspect is in custody pending further investigation. 

The statement signed by Director of Public Affairs at the Police Service, ACP David Eklu,  assured the public that due process will be followed  in the investigation  and therefore urged the public to  be calm
