Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Mamle Morrison and members of Women in Tourism toured the Czech Republic as part of ways to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
The team interacted with women in Tourism related Businesses in Czech Republic and discussed ways Women in Tourism can partner with Business women in Czech to do business.
President for Women in Tourism, Ambassador Nancy Sam, mentioned that the visit, which involved staunch business operators in Czech Republic , will enhance and strengthen the relationship between stakeholders in the Tourism industry of both countries.
According to her, this visit will go a long way to promote tourism-related businesses as well as empower the women who are in the industry.
Ambassador Nancy Sam seized the opportunity to highlight the 2019 Year of Return, which seeks to bring Africans especially Ghanaians in the diaspora to Ghana.
On her part, Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Mamle Morrison together with Women in Tourism toured the kindergarten department of the National Institute for autism to see the modalities which will benefit disabled children in Ghana when implemented.
The Team visited some selected Tourists sites and hotels in Czech Republic. They also met with some big women in the Tourism industry in Czech Republic , the move is aimed at enhancing business ties with the women in Tourism in Czech.
Czech Republic’s ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Margita Fuchsová, who is a patron for Women in Tourism congratulated the President for women in tourism, Ambassador Nancy Sam for coming along with the team from Ghana and encouraged her to make Women in Tourism a household name in Ghana.
Women in Tourism, which was established in 2017, consists of women at the top levels of tourism and trade-related businesses who have come together to promote tourism and trade in Ghana and beyond and to promote Women in Ghana.
