Women in Tourism and Business represented Ghana at the just ended Tanzania Kilifair 2019 in Tanzania.
Ghana formed part of the 15 other countries , 470 exhibitors, 550 trade buyers and over 5000 visitors at the Kilifair 2019 in Arusha, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
KILIFAIR is an international tourism & industry fair, promoting and presenting companies based in the Kilimanjaro region, Tanzania, East Africa and Central Africa.
Speaking exclusively to atinkaonline.com, President for Women in Tourism and Business, Ambassador Nancy Sam said it was a great opportunity to discover, learn and renew Business and Tourism relationships with travel and trade partners across the continent.
She said it is the goal of Women in Tourism and Business to sell Ghana to the rest of the world and deliver unforgettable experiences on business and economic sustainability.
“We are stronger together and that’s Tourism. The 3 day business and social networking is a “must do “ event for every travel tourism Practitioner and Kilifair offers excellent platform to establish new relationships and improve existing ones in the world of Tourism”, she added.
Ambassador Nancy Sam who was in the company of Abeiku Aggrey Santana,Managing Director for Kaya Tours Ghana Ltd and Kojo Bentum Producer at Voyage Afric, were in Tanzania to promote Ghana as a preferred destination for Tourism and Business in West Africa.
Ambassador Nancy Sam had a meeting with Madam Devota K. Mdachi the Managing Director of the Tanzanian Tourism Board and discussed partnerships between Ghana and Tanzania women in tourism and in business.
She also briefed and invited the people of Tanzania for the Year Of Return.
Ambassador Nancy Sam also had the opportunity to meet the various women leaders and head of women in business in Tanzania and highlighted the year of return to invite and how the two countries can empower women through tourism and business.
Women in Tourism and business, which was established in 2017 consists of women at the top levels of tourism and trade-related businesses who have come together to promote tourism and trade in Ghana and beyond and to promote women in Ghana.
