A group of Armed men reportedly attacked students of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Monday night.
A level 300 student in UCC, whose name was given as Sandra, said the armed men attacked the classrooms where some students were learning ahead of their exams around 11pm.
She added that the armed men stormed the FELT and LT blocks of the university to demand the laptops and phones of the students.
Sandra bemoaned the high level of insecurity in the university adding that the lives of students in the schools are at risk during exams.
“ We go through this every year during exams and nothing is done about it. These armed men storm the classrooms and sometimes the hostels of the students to rob them of cash and other valuable items. It’s sad that as students we cannot be protected from armed men. After school resumed after the Covid-19 break, two students have been stabbed as a result of armed robbery attack”, she explained.
