A motor rider died on the spot Thursday when a Tata Truck smashed him at Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region.
According to a police report, the man believed to be his mid 30s, was riding an unregistered Royal Motor Bike in-between the traffic with speed from Amasaman heading towards Ofankor direction but lost control of the motor bike and fell under Daewoo Tata truck number GN 8793-17 fully loaded with bottled water.
“In the process, the offside rear tyre ran over him and died instantly. The body was conveyed from the accident scene to Police Morgue for identification and autopsy,” the police report stated.
