Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited as part of its social responsibilities has fully sponsored the 2019 retreat of the Pharmacy Directorate at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH).
The Northern and Upper sector Brands Manager of the Tobinco Pharmaceutical Company Limited, Mr. Julius Kobla Equagoo in an interview with Atinka News said, the sponsorship is aimed at motivating staff’s of the teaching hospital and other stakeholders in the health sector.
According to him, management of the company most especially chairman Samuel Amo Tobin who happens to be the chief executive officer of the company strongly believes that such sponsorship will help improve health care system at the various health facility’s and Ghana at large.
“Our chairman being a philanthropist and having a good mind for Ghanaian’s, solving the problems of unemployment, employing a lot of people, we therefore deemed it right to support the Tamale Teaching Hospital because they are professionals in the health sector who needs drugs and all kind of support. The number of worker’s our chairman has employed is overwhelming, in this regard the company need the public support to create more opportunities,” he said.
He bragged that, Tobinco Pharmaceutical is a faculty when it comes to health service delivery in the country and other parts of the world.
He said, the Tobinco group is a Ghanaian based company that has created over Ten thousand jobs for the youth across the country.
Mr. Julius further made passionate appeal to Ghanaian’s to support Tobinco pharmaceutical limited by patronizing their products.
He took the opportunity and commended the company’s chief executive, Nana Samuel Amo Tobin for his tremendous and outstanding philanthropist activities he thus undertake.
At the climax of the retreat, participants were offered free product’s from Entrance pharmaceutical and Research Centre, worth thousands Ghana cedis.
The Director of Pharmacy at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr Abdul Hamid on his part expressed gratitude to the Tobinco group for the sponsorship.
‘I must say Tobin pharmaceutical has done very well, as a Ghanaian company that understood our course and sponsored the entire package for the program, I must commend them’.
According to him, the sponsorship is a service to humanity.
The 2019 retreat brought together several health practitioners including Nurses, doctors, Allied health, medical practitioners, retired TTH pharmacy staff, physicians, health financier’s, Ghana health service, food and drugs authority and health students from the University for development studies.
