The heavy downpour witnessed in the late hours of Monday and flooded major areas in Accra, has claimed the life of a medical doctor at Teshie.
According to reports from family members and close source, the deceased, Dr. Aya Hayfron was driving home around 10 pm together with two other passengers when the incident occurred.
The source said the heavy floods swept away the vehicle after attempting to cross a bridge on a small river called Naa Pra.
Rescuers were unable to save the doctor, but managed to save the two passengers who had been offered a lift by the deceased.
