Tension brewing in Prampram over attempts to enstool New Chief

Tension seems to be raging in Prampram in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater Accra Region, following ongoing attempts by a faction claiming rightful ownership to the vacant stool, to enstool a new Chief.

There are growing concerns over a possible rebuttal attacks from the opposing faction as the District Security Council sit unconcerned.

It would be recalled that the former Manklalo of the Prampram Traditional Area, Nene Atsure Bentah II was murdered in cold blood last year over what kingmakers’ suspect as an attempt by one of the feuding factions in the chieftaincy disputes to impose a candidate as chief on the people of Prampram.

Three persons have since been arrested over the death of the Mankralo of the Prampram Traditional Area, Nene Atsure Benta III.

Nene Atsure Benta III, was murdered by unknown assailants in Dodowa as he was returning from a meeting with the Dodowa House of Chiefs.

Stool father of the Prampram Traditional council, Numo Osabu II, whose live has since been danger after objecting to the imposition of a new Chief, wants the Inspector General of Police and the Interior minister to act swiftly to avert any bloody clashes in Prampram.
