Leader of the group, Azotiba Kenneth, who disclosed the kind gesture in a Facebook post to solicit more support for the project, said the group haven observed how some of the pupils in the area come to school in tatted uniforms and no stationery, extended the support to encourage them stay in school.

Mr. Azotiba said that with the new uniforms and other stationery, “they would feel comfortable and motivated in the midst of their peers”.

He added that “As kids as they are, one may easily get teased by the other because of a torn uniform and as such we saw it important to buy the uniforms for them from our own pockets”.

He explained that the items were presented to the head of the school who would do an onward distribution to the eleven beneficiaries.

Mr. Azotiba used the platform to appeal to the public to financially support them sustain the project since they intend to extend it to other parts of the region.

He noted that the world had reached a time where no child has to drop out of school for the lack of basic things such as uniforms.

“Most of the items were done from our own pockets though we are students. We are therefore appealing to the general public that anyone who may be able to help us in any way can come in. we really need support,” He appealed.
