The Executive Chairman of the Tobinco Group of companies, Nana Amo Tobbin I, has called on the youth of the country to take advantage of existing opportunities and empower themselves for the task of building a better Ghana.
He made the call when he was speaking at the ‘Accelerate Conference’ organised by the youth ministry of the PIWC Odorkor area.
The conference was under the theme: “Maximizing the Potentials and Building Capacities for Higher Heights”. It witnessed great speakers including the Executive Chairman of the Tobinco Group of Companies, Elder Samuel Nana Amo Tobbin I.
Elder Samuel Nana Amo Tobbin I encouraged the youth to plan towards their future. According to him, every youth with the vision of attaining a higher height should have a five- year- attainable plan down, work towards that plan, factor challenges in the plan and use their time judiciously.
“It is so important to plan, have a plan in a time call life. Life cannot be separated from time. You must be in a position to compete in the future. Use your time like there is no other day,” he said.
The business guru again advised the youths not to allow themselves to be intimidated, but rather speak their mind in humility and attain the can-do spirit which will catapult them to the greater height they intend to acquire.
Former Deputy Director of Youth for the Church of Pentecost, Elder Amos Kelvin Annan on his part, advised the youth to find their identity and know their purpose in life and be mindful of the kind of friends they associate with.
“Don’t let anyone use your life as a recreational ground, make up your mind and make a move,” he said.
The Accelerate Conference is an annual programme organised by youth ministry of the PIWC Odorkor area to help them discover their potentials and capabilities and how to work towards it to attain greater heights.
