Ghanaian Gospel Musician, Patience Nyarko has cautioned Ghanaian pastors who do not agree to the President’s directive of closing down churches in order to stop the spread of coronavirus to heed to the directive.

She advised them to be obedient by staying at home and pray and not only focus on the money they may lose.

“If you think you are powerful and two of your members die out of coronavirus, you will end up losing all your members. You should not do it because of the offering you will get,” she said.

Despite the directive which seeks to help protect citizens against coronavirus, some few churches have disobeyed the directive leading to the arrest of one pastor.

Speaking on Atinka FM’s Drive talk, hosted by DJ Candyman, Patience Nyarko lauded the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for directing all churches to suspend church activities for four weeks in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak.

She was strongly of the belief that closing the churches will contribute to social distancing.

Patience Nyarko said that,”Closing the church is very good. I applaud the president for the directive, it will really help with the social distancing.”

The ‘Obi Nyani Me’ hit-maker who has released a new song,’Me y3 Nyame Dea’ also urged Christians to stay in their homes and also pray to avoid any embarrassment from the security services.

“If you are a christian, just do what you have been directed to and leave the rest for God. Adhere to the safety measures and pray,” she advised.
