The traders around President Nana Addo’s Nima residence have been with the President for a long time and will not hesitate to protect him at all cost, Kwesi Pratt has argued.
Kwasi Pratt explained that the traders have been living with the President from his childhood days and have acquainted themselves with the Akuffo Addo family over the years.
He mentioned that although the Police are only exercising their duties, the traders around the President’s house will protect the rights of the President due to the relationship they have built with him.
The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, made the statement on Atinka AM Drive hosted by Ekourba Gyasi.
“These traders are friends of the President and they interact and eat with him on daily basis. Do you think these people will hurt the President? In fact these people are more reliable than the Police; the police are just performing their duties”, he stated.
According Kwasi Pratt, the President has several other options to choose from if he feels his current residence is a threat.
He added that if for any reason the President decides to stay outside the official Presidential residence, he should be ready to take up full responsibility for his decision.
