Lots of people imagine what their first baby might look like – and some showbiz fans might even imagine what it would be like to have a child with their favourite celebrity.
A sperm bank in Los Angeles offers a rather odd celebrity look-a-like service where this dream is nearly a reality, as women can choose a donor based on the famous people he resembles.
California Cryobank is one of the only clinics around that offers such a bizarre service.
The company's website reads: "Researched and selected from the limitless expanses of the internet, CCB Donor Look-a-Likes™ can be actors, athletes, musicians, or anyone else famous enough to be found on the web."
Details of donors are listed with information such as height, eye and hair colour listed for women to take their pick from, as well as which celebs the sperm donors look like.
Women can filter their sperm donor down to those who resemble men such as Prince Harry, David Beckham or Leonardo DiCaprio. Company reps told the Sun that Ben Affleck is a popular choice.
"It's really interesting what people are looking for and it's one of the reasons we have so many donors – because there's a wide range of preferences out there," Scott Brown, vice president of communications for California Cryobank told the newspaper.
"Sometimes we'll have celebrities listed that aren't necessarily traditionally handsome – and that's because the donor doesn't look like a Hollywood leading man and we want to make sure you know what you're getting."
