Six headmasters sanctioned for violating GES directives on PTA levies

The GES Council, says the directive to heads of schools, not to charge PTA dues is because of the manner in which some schools, burden students and parents in the collection of the levy.

Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association, Alexander Danso told Atinka News, that the PTA’s do not run the schools and therefore, have no right to prevent any student from attending classes, due to non-payment of PTA dues.

Meanwhlie Chairman of the GES Council, Michael Nsowah has said six heads of schools have been sanctioned and expected in Accra today (Tuesday January 15) to answer charges of noncompliance with the directives.
