Sempe Mantse gazetted; charges his people to defend stool at all cost

The National House of Chiefs (NHC) headed by Togbe Afede XIV has confirmed and acknowledged Nii Adote Otintor II as the substantive chief of the Sempe Divisional Stool in Ga Mashie of the Greater Accra Region.

The confirmation attests to the fact Nii Adote Otintor II “was properly elected, and nominated and enstooled by accredited kingmakers and elders as  Sempe Mantse”.
In order to consolidate his chieftaincy status, the Ga Traditional Council on Monday took its position to officially swear in Nii Adote Otintor II at Ga Mantse Palace at Kaneshie in Accra.

With hundreds of youth from Ga communities gathering at the palace, the chief arrived amidst wild jubilation.

The Chief of staff of Sempe, Nii Laryea Anum Tetteh at the gathering which was attended by some kingmakers, Wulomei (Priests), queen mothers and some sub-chiefs of the Ga State called on  'pretenders'  laying claim to the Sempe divisional stool to desist from further provocations that violate the decency of all Gas.

He added all truth-loving Gas must rally behind the new gazetted chief in the transformation of the Sempe quarters of Ga State and the ushering in of a new era of progress and prosperity.

Swearing the oath of allegiance and secrecy which was supervised by the presiding judge of Accra Circuit His lordship, Mr. Kwame Amoaku, Nii Adote Otintor II said he would continue with the good work of his predecessors.

He pledged to lead his people in the development of the town and called for support and co-operation.

He implored them to focus on developing the area and cautioned them to be wary when dealing with land issues.
The Sempe Mantse entreated his subjects to defend the land at the cost of their lives.

Nii Adote Otintor II pledged to defend the stool and appealed to the kingmakers to guide him in uplifting Sempe in the interest of the Ga State and Ghana at large.

He promised to provide leadership for the people and develop a plan to address the infrastructural challenges of the area.
