Sekondi-Takoradi Mayor dead; his driver tests positive for Covid-19

 
Kobina Kurentsir Sam, Mayor for the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, has passed on at the University of Ghana Hospital.
Although the cause of death is not known, it’s being speculated that he died of COVID-19.
This comes after the personal driver of the Mayor tested positive few weeks ago.
According to reports, the mayor continued to report to work despite calls for him to self-isolate after the driver was put into isolation.
Ghana has recorded a total of 10,856 covid-19 cases.
The death toll is pegged at 48.
