"Ritual coffin" found at Sege

The Ada West Police Command Wednesday evening burned to ashes, a suspected money ritual coffin at the Sege Police Station.

The interior of the coffin which was found in a nearby forest on the outskirt of the Sage Township was decorated with red lining and bottles with unknown contents.

It also had in it, money sized papers encrypted with 500 US dollars with names of commercial and national banks of Ghana and some neighboring countries written on them.

The police after receiving the information, invited men of God and traditional authorities, including the Chief of Sege who came to perform the necessary ritual for the coffin to be destroyed.

The station officer of the Sege Police Station, Chief Inspector Aquaye who supervised burning of the coffin, in an interview with atinkaonline, said the police are yet to arrest anyone in connection and also, found nothing incriminating about the said coffin.
