Renowned surgeon at The Trust Hospital dies of Covid-19

A renowned surgeon at the Trust Hospital in Accra, Dr. Richard Kisser, has died as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.
A statement by the Public Relations Office of the Hospital revealed that the Doctor died on Thursday July 2^nd 2020.
“We regret to inform all staff of the passing of our consultant surgeon, Dr Richard Kisser. The sad event occurred on Thursday 2nd of July 2020 at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) where he was receiving treatment for COV1D-19 complications. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” the PR Unit of Trust Hospital said in a statement.
The demise of the surgeon adds to the growing number of frontline workers who have died while fighting against the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
