The Municipal Chief Executive of Ledzorkuk-Krowor Assemply, Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah has reiterated the Municipal Assembly’s aim to support quality education among students in the municipality.
She made this known during the 10th Graduation Ceremony of Ford Schools Limited. The graduation was on the theme, “Raising disciplined students for Nation building” in Accra.
In her speech, she indicated that, “a key aspect of government’s policy is to raise the quality of education at the primary level in order to lay the solid foundations for early entry to the work place.”
She urged teachers and parents to collaborate together since that will enable teachers to effectively monitor and communicate the performances of their students to parent.
Explaining the role of parents in the education of their children, Mrs. Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah advised that, “parents respect the time they spend on social media and television. They should encourage their wards to divert this attention and time spent on irrelevant activities to read relevant educational material.”
The Headmaster of the school, Eric Duodoo stressed on the fact that teachesr in the school have not failed in the discharge of their duties and that his staff are committed to ensure the best out of the learners entrusted to them.
“Helping students attain academic, sporting, cultural and life-long learning has been the vision of every staff. The students have gone through six year of rigorous learning and high standards required by Ford Schools Limited and will move onto the next level on the educational ladder come September, 2017,” he said.
