Premier League set for return next month

The Premier League is set to return next month as the government aim for professional sport to resume in June.
On Sunday evening government sources, according to the Telegraph, confirmed that plans ‘are on track’ for sport to make it’s comeback after three months on the sidelines.
The publication say that the Prime Minister will on Monday reveal further details of the government’s plan as the United Kingdom slowly but surely ease their lockdown shackles.
“These will give the green light for professional sports to return next month, including the Premier League’s planned resumption on June 12, subject to safety conditions being met and coronavirus infection rates not rising,” The Telegraph say.
However, eight unnamed clubs are opposed to ‘Project Restart’s’ idea of neutral venues and insist that the resumption of football must be pushed back further. According to the report, the bottom six in the Premier League are joined by two clubs ‘significantly higher up’ in this stance.
More clarification in a Premier League meeting on Monday is expected.
