President Nana Akufo- Addo has called on clergymen to continue to earnestly pray for members in the various arms of government.

According to him, it is indeed the Lord who fought their battle for them to win the 2016 general elections.

The President said pastors should continue to pray for him for the spirit of passion, humility and the tenacity to govern Ghana to the glorification of God.

He made the statements at the National Thanksgiving Service to mark the one-year anniversary of the December 7, 2016 elections, which the NPP won by close to a million votes.

The theme for the occasion was:"O Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name- Psalm 34:3.”
