Philanthropist  donates to Kokrobite Health Centre

Mr. Elvis Asiedu Antwi, a popular businessman has donated bags of cement, detergents and toiletries to the Kokrobite Health Centre located in the Ga South municipality in the Greater Accra region last Thursday.

Mr. Antwi popularly known as General was accompanied by Highlife stars, Afriyie Wutah, Kwabena Kwabena and Raphael Ofosu.

The donation aims at addressing some of the challenges the Health Centre was facing.

He said, “I believe in life what is more fulfilling than being each other’s keeper? More so our purpose in this world as mankind is to fix problems and not to create them. Therefore, when I paid a visit to this Health Centre, I saw the need to extend a helping hand hence my donation.”

The items were received Senior Physician Assistant in charge of the Kokrobite Heath Centre, Jerry Nunoo, Mr. Jerry Nunoo on behalf of the Health Centre and he thanked Mr. Antwi and friends for the support. He called for more support to help the hospital address the myriad of challenges it is facing.

Mr. Nunoo explained that  their catchment area has many private health facilities which are quite expensive so many of inhabitants resort to the public hospital, putting pressure on it.

He mentioned lack  of alternative power source, extra space for service deliveries as some of the challenges being faced by the hospital and called for more support from the public.
