Oseim: 26-year-old man shot dead in fuel station robbery

Nuhu Yashaw, a 26 year old resident of Oseim, in the Eastern Region, was shot dead during a robbery attack at a fuel station in Oseim on Monday 5th April 2021.

Some armed men reportedly attacked Goodness Energy, a fuel station in Oseim, and made away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Nuhu Yashaw, who was sitting close to the fuel station was shot five times from behind in an attempt to flee the robbery scene.

Nuhu was found dead after the armed men had left the scene of the incident.

Confirming the incident to Atinka News’ Eastern Regional Correspondent, Maame Akosua Larbi, the assembly man for the area, Abdul Rahman, said the armed men attacked the Goodness Energy fuel station around 7:45 pm Monday evening.

According to him, the fuel attendant, who had initially declined to give the day’s sales to the armed men, succumbed after sensing danger.

“They kept shooting sporadically to disperse a crowd that was about gathering and unfortunately, there were three guys beside the filling station, one of whom was shot by the robbers”, Assembly man Abdul Rahman told Maame Akosua.
