Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is the new National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He defeated his fellow contenderts, Dan Abodakpi, Betty Mould Iddrisu, Daniel Annan and Alhaji Hudu Yayaha at the party’s 9th Delegates Congress being held at the Fantasy Dome of the Accra International Trade Fair Center .
Mr Ampofo had earlier complained of "all sorts of machinations in the last 24 hours.
Speaking to the media on Sunday at the 9th Delegates Congress of the party, Mr. Ampofo said, “the voice of the people is the voice of the LORD and that no amount of machinations in the last 24 hours can change the will of the people.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) had its 9th National Delegates Congress at the Fantasy Dome of the International Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
About 9,000 delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) voted to elect new executives ahead of the 2020 elections.
