Obour to pick forms Tuesday to contest NPP primaries at Asante Akyem South

After carefully studying the petition by the Asante-Akyem South Youth Coalition, former Musicians Union of Ghana [MUSIGA] President, Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour has confirmed his intention contest in the upcoming primaries at Asante Akyem.
The Asante Akyem South Youth Coalition, a group of youth activists in Asante-Akyem South, marched to the residence of ‘Obour” to serve him a petition.
According to the Youth, the constituency has suffered inadequate social infrastructure, massive under-development of the area, and lack of political commitment to the growth and development of the constituency.
They, therefore, think the former MUSIGA president, has the potential to best represent them in Parliament.
Obour promised to respond to the petition today (Friday).
“I will be meeting the group today and will pick forms at the party office coming Tuesday” – Obour confirmed to Atinkaonline.
Obour who has won the hearts of polling station executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Asante Akyem South constituency, started his campaign after he officially handed over power to the National Executive Committee to appoint an Interim Management Committee on August 11, 2019.
He recently joined a clean up exercise at Asante Akyem South constituency in the Ashanti region and donated dustbins, wheelbarrow, washing powder and  brooms to the assembly.
The current MP, Hon. Kwaku Asante Boateng is likely to contest.
The NPP has officially opened nominations for all prospective parliamentary aspirants for the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
