N/R: Paramount Chief of Tamale goes home today

 

The mortal remains of the Paramount Chief of Tamale, Naa Dakpema Mohammed Dawuni Alhassan whose sudden death occurred on Saturday will be buried today Sunday.

The chief died at the Tamale Teaching Hospital after a short illness.

The chief was reportedly sent to the Tamale Teaching Hospital on Friday 13 July 2018, a Guard(name withheld) at the Dakpema palace revealed to Atinka news.

According to him, the chief will be buried late Sunday evening in accordance with the Islamic and Dagbon tradition.

The late Naa Dakpema Mohammed Dawuni was loved in  the Northern Region, especially among the youth following the introduction of a royal tittle "Diema-Naa"(Entertainment Chief) in the kingship structure of Dagbon.

The chief last year, expressed his enthusiasm about the invention of the Atinka Tv's reality show "Di-Asa" when the Northern Region representative (Amina Seidu) paid a courtesy on him at the palace after the climax of Season One.
