The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched fundraising initiatives for the 2020 campaign.

The Intiatives, “Adopt a polling, shortcode for contributing and mobile money numbers” is to solicit funds from members and supporters of the party to support party agents to do diligent work on the election day at the various polling stations amongst others.

Speaking at the launch, the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia said the NPP government has made remarkable achievement after taking over from practically nothing from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and urged Ghanaians to vote for the NPP to do more.

He urged the members of the party to adopt a polling station each and support it with their resources to enable the party agents work effectively during election.

He said the NPP does not want to repeat the ‘one step forward, two steps backwards’ trend therefore urging Ghanaians to vote for the NPP for more developments.

“The NPP is number one on the ballot paper and the NDC is number two, If you choose NPP you take a step forward, if you choose NDC you are taking two steps backwards,” he said.

Dr Bawumia urged the party members to embark on a door to door campaign and remind Ghanaians of the good works of the NPP in order to retain the party in power.

The Minister of Inner Cities and Zongos, Mustapha Hamid, said the party needs money to be able to canvas for votes across the nation hence the need for its members to support with their resources.

He encouraged members to adopt a polling station and support it in order to motivate party agents to protect their votes on election day.

The Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya Consituency, Sarah Adwoa safo also urged members of the party to adopt a polling station and support it with their resources to ensure that they have what it takes to protect their votes during the election.
