NPP has lost control of its youth in the North– NDC Chair

The Northern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Sofo Azorka, has accused the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of losing control its youth in the Northern Region.

This statement comes after A group of thugs believed to be members of the NPP’s Kandahar vigilante group, on Monday 13th August, allegedly attacked and sacked managers of the Tamale Teaching Hospital out of their offices.

The group reportedly attacked and locked up the office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Dr David Zaawumya Kolbila first before proceeding to the offices of the managers.

Chief Sofo Azorka who spoke to Atinka FM’s Ekourba Gyasi on the AM Drive Tuesday, explained that the NPP chairman himself "bought his way into the NPP Northern Region Chairman position and so does not know these boys."

According to Chief Sofo Azorka, the Kandahar boys are known NPP thugs in the Northern Region and refuted claims that there are some NDC youth in the group.

“The chairman himself is lost and has therefore lost control of the youth in the Region. The NDC is a well-structured party and we have control of our boys here,” he added.

He stated that the embattled Tamale Teaching Hospital CEO, Dr David Zaawumya Kolbila who was attacked and sacked by the Kandahar boys used these same boys to sack his predecessor when the NPP assumed power.
