New Register:  EC to ensure the will of the people prevails – Jean Mensa

 
Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, has given the assurance that the commission will do everything possible to ensure that the will of the people prevails in this year’s election.
Addressing Ghanaians on Monday night ahead of Tuesday’s voters’ registration exercise, the EC Chair said the process will be conducted in a very transparent manner, paving the way for credible elections   on December 7.
Addressing concerns over the threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Madam Mensah gave the assurance that all the hygiene and social distancing protocols will be duly observed during the entire process.
According to her, all applicants will be required to wash their hands thoroughly before joining the registration exercise, adding that “Veronica Buckets” and hand sanitisers will be available at all registration centers to curtail spread of the virus
