A political Analyst, Dr John Osei, has advised the leadership of the NDC to address hiccups or any form of confusion that occurred prior to the presidential primaries.
The advise was given during an interview session on Atinka TV, following complaints made by other aspirants on some irregularities identified before the presidential primaries.
According to Dr Osei, failure to address such issues may leave some form of bitterness in the other candidates and its consequences could weaken the unity of the party after the presidential primaries.
“It behoves on the leaders to clear all bitterness and misunderstanding generated on the side of the candidates, so that it does not mar the unity in the party moving forward. Let us also pray that by the end of the election, the anchor is held in the NDC,” he said.
Although it may seem late, Dr Osei also said that if the issues raised by the other six aspirants are not addressed, they may not support the winner of the presidential primaries, adding that the situation could give their opponents an upper hand during the general elections in 2020.
“If you leave so much bitterness in the others, it becomes difficult to convince the rest to come together and support one person for the national presidential elections,” he said.
Meanwhile, he identified that the 2019 presidential primaries had been one of the best so far, indicating an improved version compared to the other elections held by the NDC.
