Nana Addo’s popularity has shot up by 20% after dissolving GFA – NPP Communicator

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Director, Yaw Adomako Baafi, has claimed President Nana Akufo Addo’s popularity has increased by more than 20% following the dissolution of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to Baafi, a survey has indicated that more people impressed with the President's decision to report sacked FA boss, Kwesi Nyantankyi to CID  following Anas Aremayaw Anas’  #Number12 Expose. The government has also, through the Attorney General, started processes of dissolving the Ghana Football Association.

In an interview with Saddick Adams Sports Obama on Atinka FM's Total Sports, the NPP Director of Communication opined that, President Mahama and the NDC would have won more trust and votes if they had cleansed the GFA based on the Brazil 2014 scandal and Dzamefe Report.

"The GFA were an albatross on our neck and majority of Ghanaians wanted Mr Nyantakyi out of office because of the numerous corruption allegations against him.
“A lot had gone bad there. From our survey, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and NPP's popularity have shot up by 20% after calling on the CID to arrest Kwesi Nyantakyi and consequently dissolving the Ghana Football Association, “he said.
