Murder of Ahmed Husein Suale a sad day for Ghana – GJA

The Ghana Journalist Association has described as a sad day for the media fraternity and the country as a whole following the gruesome murder of Tiger eye PI investigative journalist, Ahmed Husein Suale, last night.

Ahmed Husein Suale, was shot in his car at a close range two times on the chest last night at Madina after work.

At a press conference, the president of the Ghana Journalists Association GJA, Affail Monney likened the sheer execution and by extension elimination of Ahmed as one that passes for Ghana's version of the infamous killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashogi.

He however appealed to the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo to take up the matter and see to it that justice is done.

" We also appeal to His Excellency the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo, as the head of the Executive arm of government to take personal interest in seeing to the bottom of this matter

According to him, the killing of journalists recently in addition to the rampant assault against journalists in recent times sends a worrying signal that the media are under serious attack in an era where civility and rule of law must be reigning.

Undercover investigator and a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Tiger Eye Private Investigations team, Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot dead last night in Madina by unknown assailants.

Ahmed was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while driving home by unidentified men riding a motorbike.

Ahmed was one of Tiger Eye’s journalists whose photographs the member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong circulated in his 'who watches the watchman' anti-Anas video documentary and called on the public to deal with for a handsome reward.
