Milani Farms, an Agro- based company operating within Awutu Dodokwa in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region, has constructed a borehole for the community to solve the perennial water shortages in the area.
The residents of Awutu Dodokwa have never had access to potable water since Ghana attained independence and the new project therefore comes as a major relief.
The borehole was constructed with support from the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senye West Constituency, Hon. Nenyi George Andah and some opinion leaders.
Speaking to Atinka News, the Managing Director of Milani Farms, Mr. Bijean Milani said the residents really needed the borehole in the community since it is their major challenge. The company decided to meet this challenge as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The MP for the area, Hon. Nenyi George Andah was enthused about the project and thanked Milani Farms for the support and collaboration.
He however, tasked the residents to manage and maintain the borehole properly to avoid early destruction..
