Allotey Jacobs, Social Commentator and Former Central Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked operators of Radio and Television stations to stop encouraging advertisers of spiritual money lenders.

This statement by the politician is in line with the murder of 10-year old boy in lamptey Mills a suburb of Kasoa in the Central Region by two teenagers, aged 16 and 17 respectively, on Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Allotey Jacobs who made this statement in an interview with Kaakyire Ofori on Atinka FM’s AM Drive explained that although some of these men have their own TV channels, it will be in the interest of the public if local TV stations halt the activities of these con men.

” It is sad that some TV stations are using their platforms to encourage these men. TV in itself is attractive and it is very possible that these two boys were hypnotized. It’s just a sad development from the Region”, Allotey Jacobs told Kaakyire Ofori Ayim on Atinka FM
