McDan chairs Trade Fair Board

Renowned businessman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of McDan Group of Companies, Mr. Daniel Mckorley, is now the Board Chairman of the Ghana International Trade fair Centre.

The board, according to Trade Minister, Alan Kyeremanten, is to ensure the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre is revived to an appreciative standard. Per his view, the centre hasn’t been useful as it’s supposed to.

The Minister introduced the Board to the media at a short ceremony in Accra Wednesday.

The board is expected to as part of its mandate oversee the restoration of Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, which in actual fact supposed to promote trade and industry within and beyond the bothers of Ghana.

As board chairman for the group, Mr. Daniel Mckorley assured a successful revival of the sector. The transformation agenda task includes championing the course of made -in -Ghana goods to enhance domestic retail trade and also promote local manufacturers to the international world.


The board is also tasked to expose the Ghanaian community to new technologies to produce new products and services.

Mr. Daniel Mckorley holds Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) and a Certificate degree in Entrepreneurship both from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He also holds diplomas in Leadership and Transport & Logistics.

A commercially astute executive with a wealth of experience gained within the freight forwarding, haulage, logistics and private security industry, both locally & internationally has contributed an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Commonwealth University, London Business School, UK.

Daniel McKorley is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the McDan Group of Companies.[] He revealed that he dropped out of the University because he could not pay his school fees.

Arguably one of the most successful businessmen in Ghana, Daniel McKorley could only attain a degree in 15 years, after dropping out of the University of Ghana. He started the McDan Shipping Company which was established in November 1999, with headquarters in Accra and Branches in Tema and Takoradi.

The company has a presence in over 2000 major air and sea ports worldwide due to a partnership with Universal Freight Organization, Cross Trades and World Cargo Alliance(WCA).
