"Maintain high standards set by your predecessors"- Mahama tells EC boss

Former President and Flagbearer of the biggest opposition party, National Democratic Congress(NDC), H.E John Dramani Mahama has advised the current Electoral Commissioners to maintain the high standards set by previous Electoral Commissions.
According to him, the world has come to expect nothing short of inspiration from the name Ghana, and we cannot begin to see ourselves any less.
In a Facebook post by the former President, He noted that 2020 is an election year, and the eyes of the world would continue to be fixed on Ghana as we continue to run elections in a peaceful manner.
“The world has come to expect nothing short of inspiration from the name GHANA, so we cannot begin to see ourselves any less. “
“The year 2020 is an election year, and the eyes of the world would continue to be fixed on us. We need to meet the high standards set by previous Electoral Commissions and even better it,” he added.
The electoral commission, for some time now, has been receiving numerous bashes from some political parties over the attempt to compile a new voters Register for the upcoming 2020 December elections.
