Mahama lauds Kwabena Adjei's 'firm and effective leadership'

 

The former president and the current Flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress(NDC), John Dramani Mahama has taken to his Facebook page to wish the family, the NDC party and the entire country as a whole his heart felt condolence over the death of the party’s former chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei.

He said the former chairman’s great participation to the growth of the party has left a lasting mark on the success of the NDC party

“Dr. Adjei’s has through his contributions left an indelible mark on the democratic development of the NDC as a party and our dear nation Ghana.”

John Dramani Mahama sharing his fond memories with the late DR Kwabena Adjie said, “I fondly remember Dr. Adjei for his firm and effective leadership of the Majority Caucus in Parliament of which I was a member between 1996 and 2000. His impassioned contributions to parliamentary debates and unflinching commitment have been a reference point for contemporary politicking.”

 He said the former chairman looked well to him during his last visit to him last Sunday at the Ridge hospital and the doctors even confirmed that the  ex chairman’s condition was stable. He revealed that the chairman was cheerful and was sure to join the party soon.

According to the NDC flagbearer, the chairman’s death has created a vacuum for NDC and left the entire nation poorer .

“I join my wife, Lordina, to extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to his family and the entire NDC”  Mahama lamented.
