Let’s support Ghanaian businesses – Zoomlion Boss appeals

Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong is appealing to the Ghanaians to support local businesses to grow and flourish.

He profoundly noted that the Ghanaian is committed to doing what is right and is hardworking, thus we need to give them necessary assistance and encourage them to make a difference.

“Every Ghanaian has done every well and I cherished them…..the Ghanaian I know is a very zealous person, a hardworking person, the Ghanaian needs to be supported. This is our continent and only Africans can change the fortunes of these country,” he said.

Speaking with the media after the observation of the 12th Thanksgiving Service of the Jospong and Zoomlion Group for the year 2018, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong called for private sector support even though government continues to do so as seen with waste management.

“Let us help the Tobincos, Kwame Despites, Dr Ofori and all other Ghanaians,” he appealed.

With the background of starting the Zoomlion work with a tricycle in 2006, they have grown into a huge waste management firm with an integrated system that collects, treats and recycle the waste.

Today, they have heavy waste management trucks that collects filth across the country. As if that was not enough, they have turns waste into a dignified business where all Ghanaians want to be part.
“We have been able to turn waste into wealth and dignified it to the extent that people are now interested to deal with waste management,” he added.

According to him, Zoomlion currently has 45,000 workers with over 200,000 jobs created and also operational in Sierra Leone, Zambia and Angola amongst others.

His vision, he mentioned is that every household should have a dustbin across the country and in that regard Zoomlion and Ecobank have collaborated to share one million dustbins through the district assemblies.

That would will be done concurrently with sensitization and enforcement of regulations from the assemblies to take Ghana rub shoulders with the European countries.
Ghanaian professionals who are doing well foreign countries do so because of the assistance they receive and if same is done here, the fortunes of the country would change drastically.
