Kumasi Asante Kotoko football Club has rescinded its decision to boycott the Semi finals of the Normalization special competition with Accra Hearts of Oaks.
The Kumasi based team earlier released a statement recusing itself from the match which is scheduled to be played on 16th June 2019 on a basis that the match should be played on neutral grounds.
Asante Kotoko also wanted gate proceeds from the match to be shared equally between the two clubs.
The GFA/Normalization committee responded by accepting Kotoko decision to boycotting the competition.
But Kennedy Boakye Ansah,a member of Special competition committee, has revealed that all issues have been resolved and Kotoko have has agreed to play hearts on 16th June.
“We(NC Special Competition Committee)have agreed to some of the concerns raised by Kotoko so we will share the gate proceeds equally 40%-40% but the venue still remains Accra Sports Stadium,” he told Ash FM. The same conditions apply to the game involving Ashgold and Karela United 40%-40% so both semifinal games would be coming on as arranged”
He added that the committee is hopeful for wonderful games in the semifinals between Hearts of Oak and Kotoko as well as Ashgold vs Karela United.
