GFA Executive council Member, George Amoakoh, has expressed interest in the GFA Vice President position.

Speaking to Seth Dadzie on Atinka Total Sports, Mr George said “It is true, I have high interest and I’m going to contest for the GFA Vice Presidency”.

When asked if he has been assured by delegates he said, “There is nothing like assurance when it comes to football elections, we are all friends, so it will be very hard for a delegate to tell you in the face that, I’m not going to vote for you, only few, everybody will assure you of their vote but that’s where ‘fear’ ‘delegates’ come in”.

Mr George Amoakoh who declared publicly his support for George Afriyie, who was aspiring for GFA Presidency, explained what contributed to the defeat of his candidate.

“I’m  not surprised George Afriyie lost, most people tipped him to win but you see the ‘fear’ ‘delegates’ slogan, that’s what happened. where the word ‘fear’ ‘delegates’ exist is football politics and elections”, he added

George Amoakoh will have to beat Randy Abbey and Dr Tony Aubynn who have also reportedly been tipped for the GFA Vice President position.
