General Secretary of the National Democratic Party, Alhaji Frimpong, has denied reports that, flagbearer of the National Democratic Party has pulled out of the 2020 contest.
The statement comes after some news portals reported that flagbearer, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings had pulled out from the 2020 General elections.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Monday, Alhaji Frimpong said the news out there should be treated as fake news.
According to him, the said report was an attempt by the NDC to scuttle today’s press conference by the NDP
He added that, the flagbearer was mourning and should be allowed to do so in peace.
He , however, reiterated that Nana Konadu has not taken any decision to pull out of the elections and has also not informed the Electoral Commission of any such decision.
