Kologu Chief Enskinment: Family rejects ceremonial ground over juju

One of the four families racing for the skin in the Kologu Naba enskinment in the Kasena/Nankana Municipal Assembly of the Upper East Region has rejected the Nayire Park, where the traditional ceremony was scheduled to take place over claims that some charms have been buried on the park.

According to a deep throat source who spoke to Atinka News' Senyalah Castro Cazo on grounds of anonymity, everything for the ceremony was set and ready. However, a dune of sand sited on the park, triggered the suspicion of one of the contesting families of a possible implant of "juju" to turn their fortunes in favour of their opponents.

Following their suspicion, the family further suggested that the ceremony be held at the premises of the Kologu Naba Palace but their suggestions were turned down in line with traditions.

The development which was not greeted by the remaining three sides in the contest resulted in the delay of the enskinment which was scheduled to start in the morning.

As at press time, a joint police-military Taskforce was making arrangements for the enskinment to be held at the Kologu Primary School. All families agreed to the proposed venue put forward by the security agencies.
