A former Deputy Minister of Trade in the Mahama administration, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, has accused President Akufo-Addo of appointing a relative to head the Electoral Commission.
The President on Monday nominated Jean Mensah of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) as the new EC boss pending advice from the Council of State.
The opposition NDC has condemned the nomination saying Mrs. Mensah is pro- NPP .
Backing the claim on his Facebook page Wednesday, Murtala Mohammed alleged that Mrs. Mensah cannot be neutral since she is the niece of the First Lady.
