GUTA congratulates Akufo-Addo on his re-election
The Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA) has congratulated Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo on his re-election as the President of the Republic of Ghana.
President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo polled 6,730, 587 which is 51.302% of the total votes cast nationwide on December 7 while National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Presidential candidate John Mahama, polled 6, 182, 889 which gave him 47.359% of the total votes cast.
“GUTA has closely observed and noticed with admiration the humility, diligence, dexterity, hard work, integrity, sincerity, patience, tolerance and decorum, among other virtues that the President-elect exhibited before, during and after the December 7 general election, which is worthy of commendation,” GUTA said in a statement.
“It is the fervent hope and belief of GUTA that His Excellency the President will note the observations and maintain those qualities and virtues in him that endeared him to the mass of the people,” it added.
GUTA asked the Almighty God to grant the President-Elect good health, strength and increase him in knowledge, wisdom and courage to carry out his duties, as well as guard and guide him to the right path in all his endeavors.
